about
“Te Roera” (pronounced “Te Roy-ra”) translates to Royal in English.
Te Roera Hills has special significance to one of the founding Developers – the namesake was Phil’s Great Grandfather. Te Roera Tareha was the son of Tareha Te Moananui who signed the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840 on behalf of the local Tribe in Napier, Ngāti Kahungunu.
To honour the memory of Te Roera Tareha, Phil together with his wife Lynley had a vision to create a community of small lifestyle blocks to enjoy the beautiful rolling hills close to Taradale. It truly is Country Living in the City!
